Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. The harbour is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world, allowing small cruise ships and recreational vessels to moor in the center of the city. Although ther Port of Victoria is a tourist attraction, it is also a working port with a variety of activities. The harbour serves the cruise ship industry, whale watching and ecotourism, ship repairing facilities, a float plane aerodrome, marine industrial uses, an International Ferry terminal with connections to Port Angeles, Bellingham and Seattle, and a water taxi service.
