Boston Port Host: Sailors for the Sea
Public Events during the Boston Port Call – September 25-29
Event: Dockside open house including opportunities to meet the crew, view Ocean Watch, and see marine science demonstrations conducted by the onboard educator from the Pacific Science Center. All ages welcome, no cost to attend.

Location: Rowes Wharf near the Fort Point Channel Footbridge: 70 Rowes Wharf, Boston, MA 02110.

Boston Background
The Port of Boston is a major seaport and one of the principal ports on the eastern coast of the United States. The Port has played a crucial role throughout the city’s history and has been vital to Boston’s growth and wealth. Today, the Port annually handles more than 14 metric tons of cargo and over 80 cruise ship visits with over 200,000 passengers. During the last decade, Boston has spent more than $4 billion to clean up Boston Harbor with varying degrees of success.
